FUEL and Mission Health redefine how visitors interact with patient care

Mission Health System is western North Carolina’s largest healthcare provider. Over the years, FUEL has worked on a number of Mission projects—both with the marketing and philanthropy sides of the health system. Given today’s digital landscape, success for them is dependent upon being able to run multiple integrated networks—not only to meet the growing needs of patients, but also to sustain an optimal interactive architecture that promotes operational success, user-friendliness, and brand consistency. With a complex healthcare system like Mission, maintaining a dynamic, accessible, streamlined website is absolutely critical to success and profitability. So in early 2015, Mission challenged FUEL to develop an integrated website that required migrating content from 10 disparate sites the system currently managed, as well as producing an interactive experience for visitors that was user-friendly and reinforced the Mission brand. A tall order, to say the least.

The FUEL Initiative

In less than one year, FUEL strategized, conceived, created, and developed a dynamic, new website for Mission Health System. It was a mammoth achievement—incorporating 10 hospital websites in excess of 1000 pages of content (and growing daily). Built on a custom CMS, it enables Mission to easily manage content, images, forms, data, and other critical resources. FUEL also created built-in smart tagging and smart search capabilities; a keyword manager to help Mission create stronger, more relevant search results for visitors; and a custom form-builder. The Mission team was so impressed with the final product that they have engaged FUEL in an ongoing capacity to develop new traditional marketing and interactive initiatives for the philanthropy and corporate segments.
